Defying the Elements.
Decade after Decade.
Engineered for the extremes. From corrosive coastal winds to scorching desert UV. Yuanhui delivers architectural and area lighting that outlasts the environment it illuminates.
Nature is Relentless
Most outdoor failures happen not because of rain, but because of invisible aggressors: UV radiation, salt mist, and thermal pressure.
The UV Killer
Standard Polycarbonate (PC) lenses turn yellow and brittle after just 2 years of UV exposure. This reduces light output by 30% and leads to cracking.
Our Fix: Mitsubishi UV-Stabilized PC (f1 Rated) or Tempered Glass.
The Salt Eater
In coastal zones (within 5km of the sea), salt mist creates galvanic corrosion on standard aluminum, turning housings into white powder and seizing screws.
Our Fix: Low-Copper ADC12 Aluminum + Electrophoresis Coating.
The Breath of Death
Day/Night temperature changes create internal pressure differences. A hot light turning off “sucks” moist air through the cable gland, leading to internal condensation.
Our Fix: ePTFE Breather Valve (IP68) equalizes pressure instantly.
C5-M Marine Protection System
Not Just Paint. Armor.
Outdoor lighting requires more than a simple spray paint. Yuanhui employs a Double-Layer Protection Process derived from the automotive industry to pass the rigorous 1000-hour Salt Spray Test (ISO 9227).
-
Step 1: Electrophoresis (E-Coat)
The fixture is submerged in an electrified paint bath. This ensures coating reaches every microscopic pore and internal corner where spray guns miss. -
Step 2: AkzoNobel Powder Coating
We apply outdoor-rated AkzoNobel powder (80-100µm) baked at 200°C. This creates a hard, UV-resistant shell that resists scratching and fading. -
316L Hardware
All exposed screws and mounting brackets are Marine Grade 316L Stainless Steel. No rust streaks on your building facade. Ever.
Dark Sky Friendly Engineering
Light pollution disrupts wildlife and annoys neighbors. We design optics that put light only where you need it—on the ground, not in the sky.
Standard Floodlight
Uncontrolled spill light creates “Sky Glow” and blinding glare for pedestrians.
Yuanhui Full Cut-Off
Asymmetric optics with 0% Upward Light Ratio (ULR). Focuses intensity on the target area.
Sector-Specific Configuration
Engineered for Typhoons
When you mount a 1000W floodlight on a 30-meter pole, wind resistance matters. A bulky square fixture acts like a sail, putting massive torque on the pole foundation.
The Low-EPA Advantage: Yuanhui floodlights feature a “Flow-Through” heatsink design. Gaps between the LED modules allow wind to pass through the fixture rather than pushing against it.
- Rated Wind Velocity: 60m/s (Category 17 Super Typhoon).
- Safety Cable: Integrated 304SS safety chain prevents falling objects even in catastrophic failure.
- Weight Reduction: 30% lighter than traditional die-cast housings, reducing pole stress.
Outdoor Engineering FAQ
What is the real difference between IP65, IP66, and IP67?
IP65: Protection against low-pressure water jets (rain/sprinklers). Good for general wall packs.
IP66: Protection against high-pressure water jets (100L/min). Mandatory for coastal areas or heavy storms.
IP67: Protection against temporary immersion (1 meter depth for 30 mins). Crucial for ground-recessed lights that might sit in a puddle. Yuanhui Outdoor floodlights are standard IP66/IP67.
Do I need external Surge Protection (SPD)?
Yes. Outdoor lights are vulnerable to lightning strikes nearby or grid fluctuations. While our drivers have internal 4kV protection, we strongly recommend and supply 10kV or 20kV External SPDs for high-mast or street lighting projects to protect your investment.
How do you prevent water from entering through the cable?
Capillary action (wicking) can pull water through the copper gaps inside a cable if the connection isn’t sealed. We use a patented “Water-Stop” Joint inside the cable entry gland. This breaks the capillary path, ensuring that even if water enters the junction box, it cannot travel up the wire into the LED driver.
